INTRODUCTION – Healing with Homeopathy I wrote this book to empower parents, homeopaths, and healers to use their intuition, along with homeopathic remedies, to heal the grow- ing number of today’s children who suffer from a wide range of complex conditions. These children are experiencing deep levels of unresolved pain, trauma, and toxicity. Some of these “blocks” to healing are ancestrally inherited, and some are created during the gestation and lifetime of the child via exposure to environmental toxins and medically induced traumas. Homeopathy is a safe and effective system of medicine to unblock these layers of toxicity and trauma, and this book will be a roadmap that you can follow to create the highest expression of health for the next generation. I am a naturopathic doctor and homeopath and have been treating complex children and adults for over a decade. Families come to me to assist in the healing of those who have constellations of symptoms that defy simple conventional diagnosis and a one-medication-one-disease approach such as developmental delays, autism, Lyme disease, learning disorders, attention deficit disorder, autoimmune and neuro-immune conditions such as PANDAS and PANS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections and Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome), oppositional defiant behaviors, genetic immunodeficiency disease, methylation issues, mold and chemical sensitivities, allergies, cancer, birth trauma, and more. After seeing thou- sands of cases, my passion is to teach parents and healers how to find the right remedies for these truly complex kids. Finding the right remedy isn’t always easy; sometimes you can give many remedies and see little impact. But when you find the right remedy or group of remedies, the healing can be so miraculous that it will change your entire outlook on life! There are so many fad therapies out there offering palliative solutions that will come and go. What I hope to direct you to are solutions that spring from your own intuition and will fundamentally accelerate your whole healing journey. While my educational background is in Western medicine and classical homeopathy, I have found that an inclusive and open-minded approach to all systems of medicine is needed for these complex cases. For example, when I first started to practice, I would prescribe a single remedy to be dosed only once per month. While the remedy was usually a wonderful fit for the child, this classical practice of giving only one remedy once a month took these multilayered cases only so far and I soon learned that I could individualize my approach to greater effect. Some of the mothers I worked with would muscle test potencies and how frequently to dose the remedies to their children, and they experienced quicker progress with less aggravations. As a result, I began to incorporate intuitive practices and a more inclusive mindset recognizing that this new era of complex cases requires a creative mindset. Being inclusive means that we invite in many possibilities of treatment, however, we can focus our approach by trusting our intuition as well as incorporating new classification concepts from contemporary homeopathy, which I will be sharing in this book. An intuitive homeopathic approach relies upon a connection to your inner knowing guiding the homeopathic remedies given and having faith in the natural healing process. Due to the sheer complexity in the cases these days, an intuitive approach, as opposed to a purely rational one, has the capacity to capture what needs to be healed in your child with breadth and depth and to gently assist your families’ healing. Albert Einstein said, “We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.” The rational scientific approach in medicine has turned into dogma that has forgotten the soul of the individual to detrimental effect. To fully embrace the power of homeopathic medicine is to let go of the requirement that all disease can be scientifically explained and diagnosed and to look instead at what is presenting on all levels, also known as an empiric approach. Instead of believing that Western medicine has all the answers, and perhaps giving away our power in the process, it’s time to start trusting our innate wisdom and that the body can heal itself with the right energetic shifts. Each child is unique and needs specific answers to unlock their healing. To aid this process, it will help to awaken your inner healer. As parents, this is not as daunting as it seems, because connecting to our loving heart is all we need, followed by surrendering to the great unknown with faith that there is a better way. As you connect inwards, to your heart and your inner GPS, that better way will unfold before you, step by step.
